US President Trump made a claim on the 9th (local time) that the effectiveness of the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine was announced after the presidential election for "political reasons."

"As I've said before, Pfizer and others have released vaccines after the presidential election," he said in a series of posts on his Twitter account. "Because they didn't have the courage to do that before."

"Likewise, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should have announced it earlier," he wrote, "not for political reasons, but to save lives!"

For President Trump, who was aiming for re-election in this presidential election, it was believed that it would be a decisive battle if the corona vaccine comes out before the election.

Earlier, a few hours earlier, Pfizer published an interim result in a phase 3 clinical trial that showed more than 90% preventive effect.

It was announced six days after the presidential election, two days after Democratic candidate Joe Biden's declaration of victory.

However, shortly after the Pfizer News came out, President Trump immediately welcomed him, saying, “Vaccines are coming soon,” and “very great news,” and a tweet that posted a few hours later noticed this 180 degree change.

In particular, President Trump said, "If Joe Biden had been president, the vaccine would not have been available in the next four years, and the FDA would not approve it this fast."

"The FDA and the Democrats didn't want me to achieve vaccination success before the election, so it wasn't until five days later," he added. "Like I said long ago!"
