The event reported by

La Dépêche du Midi

took place on Saturday afternoon between Tarn and Aude.

And it almost turned into a drama.

After evading a road check in the Tarn commune of Cammazes, a 73-year-old man ended up being arrested at his home two hours later and ten kilometers further, in the Aude village of Saissac.

In the meantime, the septuagenarian escaped the gendarmes on two other occasions, taking enormous risks for himself and especially for the others.

In particular, he ran into a soldier who was able to narrowly avoid the car, which prompted a colleague of the latter to fire twice.

License free and alcoholic

Placed in custody, it turned out that the driver was driving without a license and in a state of intoxication.

According to the regional daily, the man is also targeted by an investigation for domestic violence.
