A "lie" loses a manager his job and leads him to "crimes"

A (Asian) manager fabricated a lie and started promoting it, until he completely took control of it and believed it, and acted on its basis, until it implicated him in a crime that made him lose an important job in a prominent government agency with a high salary, and referred him to the Criminal Court in Dubai.

In detail, an Asian employee in a bank assumed the status of an Emirati citizen, exploiting his right to enter the bank's electronic information system, copying a copy of a citizen’s passport, then manipulating the data by deleting the name and photo of the passport holder using a drawing program, and putting his name and photo instead of it. He saved the new photo in his electronic file, and took advantage of this manipulation to unlawfully seize 23,000 dirhams as part of an end-of-service reward after submitting his resignation, as he is a citizen and not from an Asian country.

The investigations of the Public Prosecution in Dubai reported that the accused later joined the position of Director of Human Resources for a party, and the bank discovered that he had been tampered with, losing his important job, and he was referred to the Criminal Court on charges of committing the felony of forgery in the form of an official document, seizing public money, and misdemeanor intentional entry without Directed to an information system.

For his part, the head of the fraud department in the victim bank said that he was in charge of checking matters related to embezzlement and bank fraud, pointing out that the accused was an employee in the Human Resources Department, and he used to pretend during his time at the bank that he was an Emirati citizen, and he claimed that to his colleagues, So much so, that the witness himself was convinced of this.

He added that the bank offered good financial benefits to employees as end-of-service bonuses starting from September 2019, and after several months a report received from an auditing office contracted with the bank stating that there was a violation in which the accused benefited from a financial package belonging to citizens, so he looked at the accused's file, and he did not discover anything suspicious. At first, until he noticed the presence of a copy of the Emirati passport with a picture of the accused and his name.

He continued that by examining the passport data, he found a strange difference, as the date of its issuance was in 2019 and the date of its end in 2017, and he also found other scanned data, so he returned to the rest of the documents related to the accused, to discover that he was born in an Asian country, and studied there, and with more scrutiny he discovered He spent the amount of the end of service as an Emirati, which cemented his conviction that there was fraud in the copy of the passport, then expanded the investigation into the incident, until he reached a copy of the original passport of the accused, so he referred the incident to the Legal Affairs Department, which opened a complaint against the accused.
