According to the region's website, the stricter guidelines for Region Skåne say that "everyone should avoid spending time with people other than those with whom they live or meet every week".

But the Swedish Public Health Agency says that you should avoid having physical contact with other people than those you live with.

Does that mean a colleague or close friend can come to dinner?

And what is meant by physical contact in these contexts?

Advises against dinner party

Mattias Waldeck, assistant infection control doctor in Region Skåne, thinks that the advice is clear.

According to him, the term physical contact means that you are within a few meters of each other.

Inviting someone home for dinner is not okay according to the general advice that applies in Skåne.

- No, now we advise against participating in or arranging such social contexts, he says.

1177 defines close contacts as people you have met for at least 15 minutes at a distance of less than two meters, even if it is outdoors.

Children can hang out with their closest friends

Eva Melander, infection control doctor in Skåne, develops the advice:

“It depends a bit on what type of contact it is and we can not give all conceivable examples.

You should stay in your bubble.

It is less appropriate to invite your co-workers home for dinner right now, even if you meet them every day.

When it comes to children, it is conceivable that the closest friend (s) can hang out outside of school.

There is no exact limit ", she writes in an email.

She believes that it is about seeing what is appropriate, rather than what is allowed.

"It is about reducing your social contacts overall so that you do not introduce new ways of spreading infection."

The decision on special advice for the people of Skåne applies until 17 November, but can then be extended depending on what the infection situation then looks like.
