What the parties dispute is certain equipment that Arla considers not included in the purchase.
The letter the municipality has now sent to Arla states that "the company must come and dismantle and pick up the two equipment that was exempted in the purchase agreement from 2020-09-11 by 19 November, over which there is no dispute".
They also write that "There is no ban or contract terms that prevent the municipality from transferring the property", and "In the agreement between the new owner of the Dairy is written that you must respect the non-compete clause between Arla Foods AB and Boxholm municipality".
The municipality considers Arla's actions to be both remarkable and surprising.
