Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid coach, said that his team cannot hide behind referees' decisions or injury and disease problems after losing 4-1 to Valencia, on Sunday, in the Spanish Football League.

Three penalties were awarded against Real Madrid for the first time in its history, all of which were scored by Carlos Soler, the "bat" striker, and Raphael Varane scored an own goal, after Karim Benzema put the defending champion at the front at the "Mestalla" stadium.

Zidane had to play Sunday's match without 6 players in total, after influential midfielder Casemiro and Eden Hazard, the most expensive player in the club's history, were infected with the Corona virus.

But the coach said there was no excuse for the team's performance.

"We can seek a thousand excuses, and everyone can find any reason they want to explain what happened ... but we cannot search for excuses, everyone in this squad is a player in the team," Zizou said.

The coach criticized his team's poor reaction to the equalizer, which Soler scored after Real Madrid advanced through Benzema.

"We played well in the first half hour, but the match changed completely after they equalized. This happened to us several times, and I don't like that," he said.

He added, "We have to analyze what we are doing wrong, because anything small may cause us many difficulties ... Once we met the first goal, we could not return to the match, many things were against us today."

"I am responsible, and I have to find solutions," concluded the French coach.
