This Sunday, firefighters in intervention in the Bacalan district in Bordeaux were "taken to task by a gang of young people", reports Bruno Vincendon, deputy zonal secretary New Aquitaine Alternative Police CFDT.

They were the target of stone throwing, without being injured, and the same group "stunk" a bus of the TBM network which was nearby.

The firefighters filed a complaint.

On Sunday evening, around 7:30 p.m., police called to Gradignan received stone throwing when entering a building.

Some of their attackers were posted on the roof of the building.

The police were able to identify one of the perpetrators and returned to arrest him a little later.

The young man is in custody at the central police station on Monday.

Need more police

“Bordeaux is not yet Chicago, admits Bruno Vincendon.

But the period we are living [of health crisis] strained our relations with the population ”.

Bordeaux police officers are no longer necessarily welcome in certain neighborhoods

“The trafficking has also taken a hit and when we are there, we make them lose money,” points out the police officer.

The Alternative police union CFDT 33 is asking for police reinforcements in the field: "A permanent CRS company is good, but it is there for punching operations".
