Right now, 31 people are receiving care for covid-19 in the Sörmland hospitals, of which six people are on a respirator.

- They were infected two to three weeks ago, says the infection control doctor.  

People who are admitted to hospital in two weeks may thus have been infected before the advice was tightened.

Therefore, the load on the covid departments will not decrease within the next few weeks, but rather increase, before the restrictions take effect.
