Request the withdrawal of American troops!

Supporters of Iraqi Shiite militia rallies to protest US troops in Iraq

On the 7th local time, supporters of the Iraqi Shiite militia armed "People's Mobilization Organization" held a rally in the Iraqi capital Baghdad to protest the US military presence in Iraq.

On the same day, the protesters were holding pictures of Soleimani, commander of the Al-Quds Brigade under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard of Iran, and Muhandis, deputy commander of the "People's Mobilization Organization", demanding the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.

Protester: To be honest, we have not seen any good news from them (Americans) in the past year. Every year we say that it might get better, things will change, and things will stabilize.

But the situation is always getting worse. The main cause is the Americans. We need to be united. There is only one voice. We don’t need an occupier.

Soleimani, Muhandis and others were killed in an airstrike launched by the United States against Baghdad on January 3 this year.

On January 5, the Iraqi parliament voted to request the withdrawal of foreign troops.

The then Prime Minister of Iraq Adil Abdul-Mahdi asked the US to formulate a withdrawal plan, but the US refused.
