A Reuters statistic showed that the total number of new cases of the new Corona virus (Covid-19) exceeded 50 million cases around the world, until yesterday, and the second wave of the outbreak during the past 30 days constituted a quarter of the total of those cases, while the total number of people who died from the virus reached 1.25 million people.

Last October was the worst month for the pandemic so far, as the United States became the first country to record more than 100,000 cases per day, and the high infection rates in Europe contributed to the increase in these cases.

As of yesterday, the total number of people recovered was 32 million and 492 thousand people, and the countries that recorded the largest number of new deaths in the last 24 hours are: the United States (991), India (559), and Mexico (485).

"Reuters" statistics stated that a record increase in cases of "Corona" was recorded in the United States, for the fourth consecutive day, amounting to at least 131,420 new infections.

17 states recorded a record daily increase, while 14 states recorded record daily numbers of hospitalized patients.

The United States is the country most affected by the number of deaths and injuries, with 237,123 deaths out of 9,861,898 million injuries, according to the Johns Hopkins University census.

After the United States, Brazil is the second most affected country by the epidemic, with 162,269 deaths out of 5,653,561 million infections, then India with 126,121 deaths out of 8,507,754 million infections.

And in Russia, the health authorities announced, yesterday, that more than 20 thousand new cases of Coronavirus had been recorded during the past 24 hours, for the third consecutive day.

The special operations room to combat the spread of the Corona virus in Russia said that 20,498 new infections were recorded, bringing the total confirmed infections to one million and 774334 cases.

She added that 286 new deaths were recorded as a result of the virus, which brings the total deaths to 30,537 deaths.

While 11,492 patients recovered from infection in Russia, bringing the total number of people recovering to one million and 324,419 people.

According to data collected by "Johns Hopkins" University, Russia ranks fourth in the world in terms of the number of "Corona" infections, after the United States, India and Brazil.

In Egypt, the health authorities warned, yesterday, of a possible new wave of an outbreak of the Corona virus in the country as winter approaches.

The Egyptian Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, said during a press conference that the new wave will not be as dangerous as the first wave, noting that there are no plans to close schools at the present time.

The minister stressed the importance of wearing masks, and adhering to the rules of social distancing.

She added that the governorates of Cairo and Alexandria recorded the highest cases in the country.

She added: "The people most infected with (Corona) are those who are in closed places for a long time, and the people least likely to be infected are those in the open sites."

As of yesterday, Egypt recorded 108,962 cases and 6355 deaths from the virus.

The total number of people recovered reached 32 million and 492 thousand people.

The United States records a record number of injuries for the fourth day, and Russia exceeds 20 thousand injuries for the third day.
