President Moon Jae-in delivered a congratulatory message to US President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on his social media.
President Moon said, "Our alliance is strong, and the solidarity between the two countries is very strong," and "I look forward to working together for common values."
In addition, he said that he had high expectations for the future development of both Korea and the United States, and then wrote'Let's go together.'
Even with President-elect Biden's declaration of victory, President Trump's declaration of success has not yet come out, so it is interpreted that President Moon delivered congratulations through social media, not through official diplomatic means.
In the Blue House, at the time the results of the US presidential election are finalized, President Moon is expected to send a congratulatory message and engage in official diplomacy, such as normal currency.
In addition, after Biden's inauguration in January next year, discussions are expected to promote visits to the United States.
