The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences announced that the number of participants in the "Community Immunology Ambassadors" program of the university has reached one million participants from different parts of the world.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, confirmed that the community awareness programs in the UAE have contributed significantly to supporting government efforts to address the "Covid-19" pandemic.

His Highness said: “Dubai and the UAE have shown the importance of adopting and advancing the digital transformation.

The Community Immunology Ambassadors Program embodies the values ​​that guide our various initiatives and actions at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, especially in terms of developing innovative solutions that benefit society as a whole, while contributing to support the UAE's efforts to contain (the pandemic).

Perhaps the most prominent achievement of this program is the employment of advanced expertise and knowledge, which the UAE embraces for the public benefit. ”

The program, which was launched last March, aims to encourage various groups of society to participate in combating the "Covid-19" pandemic, through a set of electronic training courses aimed at raising levels of community awareness about how to combat the virus and limit its spread. Which was approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as part of the efforts of "Emirati aid" aimed at promoting international peace and prosperity, and consolidating the positive impact of the Emirati contributions on the international scene.

The program has witnessed a remarkable global turnout from all over the world, especially the Middle East, South and East Asia, and North America.

As the participants complete the training courses, the university grants them the status of "community immunity ambassadors."

The first session of the program, organized under the title “Let's Break the Chain of Infection (Covid-19),” aimed to raise community awareness about how infectious diseases are transmitted, and the best ways and practices to break the chain of infection.

With the completion of the first session, the participants receive certificates of achievement, in addition to the badge of "Ambassador of Community Immunity".

The second session, entitled: “Let's prepare to volunteer to combat (Covid-19),” provided guidance and support for volunteers, and provided them with the knowledge necessary to protect themselves and others, while they volunteered and supported the first line of defense to limit the spread of the virus.

The course was worked in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health, and with the support of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, the Dubai Health Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Department of Health.

The third session was launched, in cooperation with the National Program for Happiness and Quality of Life, affiliated to the Office of the Minister of State for Happiness and Quality of Life, with the title: “Discover your inner light”, with the aim of enhancing the self-awareness of the participants and promoting mental health by spreading positive spirit and values ​​of community compassion, to overcome exceptional circumstances That the world is seeing.

In light of the success of the program, another program has been designed targeting dental professionals, to provide them with an overview of best practices to prevent the spread of the virus in dental clinics, in cooperation with Dubai Dental Hospital.

The clinical arm of the university and the teaching hospital of the Hamdan bin Mohammed College of Dentistry of the university.

Currently, the program's courses are available on the university's platform, in several languages, via the university's online platform https://learn.mbru.ac.ae/.

It can be completed individually, by registering on the online platform, and attending virtual courses, whose duration does not exceed one hour for each course.
