Yesterday morning, Egyptian voters went to the polling stations to cast their votes in the second and final stage of the House of Representatives elections, and the voting process continues over two days, as it ends today.

This stage includes 13 governorates: Cairo, Qalyubia, Dakahlia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Kafr El Sheikh, Sharkia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.

There are about 30 million voters eligible to cast their votes in the polling stations at this stage, which will open its doors for a period of 12 hours, from nine in the morning until nine in the evening local time.

The elections for this stage had taken place abroad during the fourth, fifth and sixth days of November, and the results of the second phase would be announced abroad and internally, and would be published in the Official Gazette no later than Sunday, the 15th of the same month, and in the event of a repeat of this phase, elections would be held on the fifth and sixth And the seventh of December outside, and the seventh and eighth of the same month inside.

The final results of the first and second stages will be announced on December 14th.

The first phase of the elections for representatives abroad was on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of last October, and on the 24th and 25th of the same month inside, and this stage included 14 governorates, namely: Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, New Valley, Sohag, Qena, and Luxor. Aswan, the Red Sea, Alexandria, the lake, and Matrouh.

The National Elections Authority in Egypt announced that the number of those enrolled in the database in the first phase was 31 million and 719 thousand and 224 voters, and the number of attendees reached 9 million and 69 thousand and 728 voters, with an attendance rate of 28.6% abroad and at home.

The National List, a political alliance led by the Future of the Nation Party, won 142 seats out of 284 seats in the first phase of the ballot that was held late last month in 14 of the 27 governorates.
