Al-Sayed said: “Although the (pandemic) and its control imposed emergency measures that were not taken into account, the authority was responsible for being fully prepared, and this was demonstrated through the following results in anesthesia and intensive care drugs, as the rate of consumption increased to 10 times, as well as All narcotic drugs, anesthesia drugs, antibiotics and intensive care drugs were provided, which enhanced the sustainability of services in intensive care departments, and artificial respiration procedures.

He added: “The authority has restored the operational processes of the pharmaceutical services, by redesigning the procedures for inpatient and outpatient drug dispensing, supervising the drug management of all quarantine centers and isolation centers, as well as supervising the pharmacological management of telemedicine procedures, operating a field hospital pharmacy, and operating a pharmacy. He continued, "The Pharmaceutical Services Department has contributed to the success of the Doctor for Every Citizen project, while fighting the pandemic, by dispensing an average of 160 prescriptions per day to the program, and delivering them through my drug service, within 24 hours."
