A ship-based helicopter group of the Navy in the Northern Theater conducts sea rescue exercises——

Vertical search and rescue "pilot in water"

"The pilot fell into the water, waiting for rescue. Your search and rescue crew was dispatched urgently to search and rescue!" In the mid-autumn season, as the alarm sounded, a maritime rescue exercise by a certain carrier helicopter group of the Navy in the Northern Theater began.

How to fight in the future, how to practice in peacetime.

According to the leadership of the regiment, the maritime search and rescue exercise closely follows the actual combat background, setting up search, rescue, and wounded transportation exercises to temper the force's maritime search and rescue capabilities.

"Take off at a time!" As the tower issued an instruction, I saw the iron wings spinning, and as the motor roared away, the search and rescue helicopter went straight to the target sea area.

"Quickly start the search." Upon reaching the target sea area, the crew members immediately analyzed the sea and air environment.

Lifeguards Lu Zhiwei and Ma Xin carefully observed and analyzed the conditions of the sea area, and inspected equipment such as winches, steel cables, stretchers, etc., to ensure that rescues could be carried out as soon as the target was found.

One lap, two laps...a few laps of search, but there was still no trace of the "pilot in the water".

"Search and rescue at sea is different from land. The positioning of people in the water is affected by weather, sea conditions, positioning accuracy and other conditions, and data changes greatly." Exercise commander Tian Chenliang said, "This is a test of the crew's search and rescue plan preparation and emergency response capabilities."

Captain Li Xin circulated the helicopter, causing waves of water on the sea.

The crew focused on searching the sea, not letting go of any clues.

"A suspicious target is found in the sea ahead. Fly to confirm!" When a suspicious target is found, the crew quickly design a route according to the wind direction and speed and fly to the suspected target.

After further confirmation, they locked the specific location of the "overboard pilot".

The sea's surging waves, coupled with the downward swirling air flow swept by the helicopter, made the "overboard pilot" waver in the waves, and the difficulty of rescue was greatly increased.

"Please show the cabin." Ma Xin, dressed in good condition and carrying equipment, moved to the door of the cabin, and the hem of his arm signaled Lu Zhiwei to lower the wire rope.

He was hoisted out of the cabin and approached the "overboard pilot".

When he met the "pilot in the water", Ma Xin seized the opportunity to put a lifebuoy on the "pilot in the water", and then signaled Lu Zhiwei to take back the wire rope.

At this time, Lu Zhiwei quickly pressed the up button on the winch console.

"Ready to enter the cabin." The winch motor rotates, and the wire rope gets shorter and shorter. Ma Xin rescued the "overboard pilot" and arrived in the cabin, and the ambulance started immediately...
