Hook's Manor has been serving classic Christmas tables since the Edberg family bought it in the 1960s.

This year will be the first year without the big Christmas buffet.

- For me, it was still a fairly simple choice.

Christmas table is crowded and it gets messy easily.

We serve Christmas food on a plate instead, says CEO Hans Edberg.

- It is well thought out in corona times, says one of the guests at the mansion, Lisbeth Åberg-Malmberg.

SVT Nyheter Jönköping has called about ten restaurants in the county.

None of them will serve Christmas buffet.

- In addition, we only take in 20 guests at a time, and have divided the seats, says Daniel Johansson, restaurant owner Tabergstoppen.

No company bookings

At Sandsjö Wärdshus, there are significantly fewer bookings this year than in other years.

- The plan is to take in fewer people than we usually do, says Maria Svensson, restaurant manager.

In all restaurants, the reduced interest in Christmas dinners is clearly noticeable.

- Only private individuals have booked a table this year, no municipalities or companies, says Daniel Johansson.
