- Everyone I talked to in class and my close friends want distance learning again, to keep their distance both in school and in public transport, says Frida Linder, student at Söderslättsgymnasiet in Trelleborg.

Several students agree that it is crowded and that it is difficult to keep distance at school.

- There are quite narrow corridors, many people sit on benches in the corridor and in the dining room you stand back to back, you stand in line and take in the same things, says Liv Magnusson.

Schedules are customized

However, the school has taken several measures to try to reduce congestion.

Among other things, schedules have been adapted for classes to end at different times, school desks are disinfected and it is also possible to bring the school lunch from the dining room.

At school, the same rules apply as in the rest of society, to make sure to wash your hands often and stay home at the slightest symptom.

The right to education

- I believe that one must weigh the concerns that exist among students and the real risks of infection control with the right to education.

For our students have the right to receive instruction and not everyone has instruction in classrooms with theoretical studies, but we also have practical elements.

Everything from laboratory work to construction work and electrical work.

It is difficult to implement at a distance, says Jonatan Folke, acting principal and head of education.

He says that three cases of corona have previously been found at the school.

But the victims were isolated without the infection spreading at school.

- Should the situation change, we have a plan where about a third of the students will attend distance learning, which would reduce the pressure on the school and make the situation easier.
