The Rosstat website reports that "in September, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has increased compared to August 2020."

It is noted that the departments distinguishes four groups of deaths of persons diagnosed with coroanvirus.

So, "COVID-19 as the main cause of death", the number of cases in this group in September was 4329;

"COVID-19 is assumed to be the main cause of death, but additional medical research is needed to confirm the presence of the virus", such cases in September - 870;

“COVID-19 was a concomitant disease, influenced the development of other diseases and contributed to the emergence of complications that accelerated the death of the patient,” 1401 such cases were identified in September;

"COVID-19 was a concomitant disease, but did not in any way affect the onset of death," there were 3198 such cases.

According to the data of the headquarters on November 6, 20,582 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia per day, for the entire time 1,733,440 patients with COVID-19 were registered in the country.
