As the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport was struggling with the budget increased by the opposition parties to verify the new airport in Gadeok Island, the entire meeting of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport suffered pain.

Yesterday (5th), the subcommittee of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to increase the cost of 2 billion won for the feasibility review of the new airport on Gadeok Island in the government budget.

If it is concluded that the Gimhae new airport is unsuitable as a result of the verification by the Prime Minister's Office, it is the purpose of promoting the new airport on Gadeokdo Island immediately.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport drew on the so-called decision that'after the decision of inappropriateness should be reflected from the special stage of budget settlement'.

In the absence of an inadequate decision, the budget could not be made on the premise of a change to a specific region, and the increase was not accommodated.

In addition, Democratic Party Rep. Kim Gyo-heung said, "There are a lot of people who have already raised the safety issue of the Gimhae new airport and the need for a new airport in Gaduk. Public opinion is already going there."

Rep. Lee Heon-seung, the power of the people, said, "If it comes out as inappropriate, you have to go into action immediately." Loaded.

However, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Hyun-mi said, "It is not (determined) based on public opinion." "It is the principle to do it."

Rep. Kim Hee-guk said, "From the perspective of the government, there are procedural defects, so if the Congress wants to make a budget, it is recommended that the Congress reflect it."

As the workshop continued, Chairman Jin Seon-mi, Chairman of the National Territory, stopped the meeting and asked the opposition parties to go through discussions.

The secretaries of the ruling and opposition parties made a compromise by increasing 2 billion won to the budget for R&D service (2.6 billion won) for policy research and using it to review the adequacy of Gadeokdo New Airport.

Minister Kim accepted, saying, "If the verification results are announced in the Prime Minister's Office, we will use the 2 billion won increase this time as a follow-up budget for policy R&D expenses."
