06 November 2020Weak closures for European stock exchanges, in the wake of uncertain Wall Street pending the proclamation of the winner of the presidential race.



Milan loses 0.25% (but closes a record week with an overall increase of over 10 points). Down also Frankfurt to -0.70% and Paris to -0.46%, while London snatches a modest + 0.07%.



On Wall Street, the session is improving. The Dow Jones is almost flat and the Nasdaq is down just 0.19%.



The spread between the Italian BTP and the German Bund fell to 123 basis points (yield to a minimum of 0.63%). Gold - the ultimate safe haven asset - is worth $ 1,952 an ounce. The euro is recovering ground and is trading at 1.1886 against the dollar.
