Four students at the Institute of Applied Technology, in Falaj Al Mualla in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, created a smart system for detecting car accidents on the roads, and they called it the "Automated Police Operations Room" project.

The project, which was completed by: Shamma Al Shamsi, Anoud Saif, Afra Saif, and Fatima Khalifa, and supervised by Engineer Farouk Halawani, a teacher at the Institute, works to automatically alert the operating room in the nearest police station about car accidents that occur on the roads, send the accident site, and some Vehicle and driver information to the operating room.

The students explained that the project is a device that sends traffic accident data and location to the screen of the traffic control room, so that specialists can view the location and details of the accident as soon as possible, to ensure the speed and effectiveness of the response, especially when multiple accidents occur in the same period of time.

The students pointed out that the project, which costs 500 dirhams, consists of collision sensors connected to a digital transmitter (tuned), with the operations center at the police station, which in turn sends notifications of the accident as soon as it occurs to the reception station.

And they emphasized that the system ensures a more integrated and timely response from the competent authorities through emergency service providers, including police teams and civil defense, in order to save and protect lives, and the wireless police operations room ultimately facilitates the process for all parties involved in case Accidents happen, which reduces the possibility of loss of life, in line and in line with the UAE's preparation for the next 50 years, to reduce accident deaths in the country as much as possible.
