  According to reports, with the support and cooperation of the Ghibli Museum, Tokorozawa City produced this bronze statue with the theme of My Neighbor Totoro.

The bronze statue is about 170 cm high and 130 cm wide.

The bronze statue not only casts a Totoro with a leaf umbrella, but also presents other protagonists in the movie.

  According to reports, the movie "My Neighbor Totoro" has a lot to do with Tokorozawa.

Hayao Miyazaki lives in Tokorozawa City, and "My Neighbor Totoro" was conceived in the woods at the junction of Tokorozawa City and Higashimurayama City in Tokyo.

  Regarding the unveiling of the statue, Akira Yanagada, Director of the Commercial Tourism Division of Tokorozawa City, said, “I hope that more people will know that Totosawa is the birthplace of Totoro, and I hope that this bronze statue can be familiar and loved by everyone.
