Attack by three armed men on Monday

At least 22 people, mostly students, were killed and some 27 others injured in the three-armed attack on Monday, a bombing claimed by the jihadist group Islamic State.

The Afghan government had however assured Wednesday that the massacre had been committed by the Taliban.

Emmanuel Macron broadcast his message a few hours after going to Perthus (Pyrénées-Orientales), on the Franco-Spanish border, to hammer home his desire to fight against Islamist terrorism in France, and in particular to announce the doubling of the security forces deployed at the borders.
