China News Service, Beijing, November 5. The Supreme People's Procuratorate of China disclosed in a notice on the 5th that from January to September this year, 781 prosecutors were filed for investigation and prosecution for violations of discipline and law.
The Supreme Procuratorate Party Group issued a notice on the fourth round of inspection and improvement exhibitions of the 19th Central Committee on the same day, and the notice disclosed the above figures.
From September 9th to November 25th last year, the Fourth Inspection Team of the Central Committee conducted regular inspections of the Supreme Procuratorial Party Group.
The report pointed out that the Supreme Procuratorial Party Group attaches great importance to promoting the construction of party style and clean government in the procuratorial system, deeply analyzes the case of violations of discipline and law by Yang Keqin, former party secretary and chief procurator of the Jilin Provincial Procuratorate, and issued a notice to the national procuratorate to urge the strengthening of system constraints.
Resolutely support the discipline inspection and supervision organs to handle cases in accordance with discipline and law, and reduce the stock volume and curb the increase with the courage of scraping the bones and treating drugs. From January to September this year, 781 prosecutors were filed for investigation and prosecution for violating discipline and law.
According to the report, the Supreme Procuratorial Party Group continued to strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of party rules and disciplines and procuratorial prohibitions.
Strictly implement the "three regulations" for recording and reporting major issues such as interfering or intervening in judicial cases, and organizing all members of the four-level procuratorate to report monthly.
A total of 43,143 reports were recorded from January to September this year.
In terms of implementing the leniency system for confessing guilt and punishment, the Supreme Procuratorate Group stated that the structure of criminal offenses has undergone major changes in recent years, with the rate of serious crimes and serious sentences continuing to decline, and the rate of misdemeanors and light sentences continuing to rise.
To meet the requirements of the modernization of national governance, it is necessary to fully implement the criminal policy of both leniency and strictness and minimize social opposition.
From January to September this year, procuratorial organs applied the system of plea guilty and punished leniency to conclude more than 1.06 million cases, accounting for 85% of the number of cases reviewed and prosecuted in the same period.
On the same day, there were also 12 other inspected units, including the Supreme Court Party Group, the Party Group of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Party Group of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, which announced the status of the fourth round of inspections and improvements of the 19th Central Committee.
