"
We realize that it is not made to do that
", cowardly, annoyed, an influential member of the majority after the hiccups of recent days.
Too technocratic, not political enough, Jean Castex is judged harshly by some walkers who have come to regret his predecessor, Édouard Philippe.
Critics are also emerging within the government itself.
Some are already thinking about the aftermath of Jean Castex.
What annoys a framework of the majority: for him, "
to speculate on the replacement of the head of government on behalf of the ministers is irresponsible in full health crisis
".
But this same source acknowledges that the last few days "
have given the feeling that
the government is sailing on sight
".
Contested decisions
Jean Castex has indeed seen his decision to
close small businesses
challenged on the ground by traders and mayors.
The government spokesperson mistakenly announced the return of the curfew, forcing the prime minister to correct it.
And then its majority in the National Assembly was trapped by the opposition and had to do it twice to pass the extension of the state of health emergency until February.
For the moment, the piloting of the reconfinement is not going as the Prime Minister would like.
