The congressional elections that took place in parallel with the US presidential elections witnessed the victory of the doctor who had the theory of "amazing genes" for President Donald Trump and of Somali origin, Ilhan Omar, as well as a young Republican and a democratic space pioneer.

Former White House private physician Ronnie Jackson, whose statements about Trump's health sparked a major controversy, won membership in the US House of Representatives from Texas, according to estimates published by US media.

Jackson, a military admiral, ran for the vacant seat occupied by a retired Republican lawmaker, who was defeated by his Democratic opponent, Gus Trucci.

And this doctor became known after praising Trump's "excellent" health status, and what he called "the amazing genes" of the president, and he also said that Trump would remain fit to perform his duties until the end of his term and until the end of another term if he was reelected.

Jackson became a staunch supporter of Trump, who nominated him for the position of chief of the Veterans Affairs Department, but he declined to accept the offer due to the controversy that arose around him, a number of his positions and statements.

And recently, he objected to the proposals of public health officials regarding the Corona virus, as he believed that wearing the muzzle should be a "personal choice", and asked about the cognitive qualifications of the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden.

In addition to his statements about the president's health, the elected representative, who was also a White House physician under former President Barack Obama, was known to have problems related to alcohol and over-prescription of drugs for the military, as well as in the White House, and he faced charges of bad behavior at work.

Youngest Republican

Rep. Young Madison Cawthorne also won a congressional seat for North Carolina after defeating his rival, former Air Force Colonel Maurice Davis.

He is the youngest Republican to be elected to Congress, at the age of 25.

Cawthorne announced his victory through his Twitter account, and thanked the American voters from North Carolina, who elected him to the House of Representatives.

Madison wrote on his Twitter account, "All renewed to God. I am very excited to serve every member of the region, thank you very much."

Kawthorne presented itself as a new front for a new generation of Republicans.

Kawthorne was partially paralyzed after being in a car accident at the age of 18.
