The plaintiff's counsel Eva Almström represents the deceased 70-year-old's cohabitant and sister.

- They are relieved by the Court of Appeal's finding that their relative has been killed by one of these men.

It has been questioned whether he was even killed and it feels good for the relatives to know that these people are behind it, she says to SVT Nyheter Småland.

During the trial, the men's defense lawyers have claimed that it is not possible to claim that it is a murder.

- It is not proven that it is an intentional murder and the man could have died of a heart attack, said defense attorney Tommy Nilsson in his speech a few weeks ago.

- There are no objective grounds for claiming that the 70-year-old was killed, said defense lawyer Torgny Dalhberg.

"Without reasonable doubt"

But in the Göta Court of Appeal's reasoning it says, among other things:

"[...] the Court of Appeal makes the assessment that it is beyond reasonable doubt that the 70-year-old's death was caused by another person, namely X and Y, or the two together."

- They are also disappointed with the acquittal because they know that one of these two men has done so, says lawyer Eva Almström.
