Kurdesov noted that this year, telephone scammers have become more active, who, under various pretexts, are trying to get access to the accounts of citizens, and pensioners are often the target of their criminal activities.

By manipulating the conversation, fraudsters either get the data of the bank cards of citizens, or force them, under various pretexts, to transfer their funds to other accounts.

“In this regard, we ask you to consider the feasibility of introducing a limit of 10 thousand rubles per day for online transfers from bank accounts registered for citizens with pensioner status.

This restriction will make it impossible for a one-time large-scale theft of citizens' funds by remote means, ”the appeal says.

Earlier it became known that the number of thefts from bank cards of Russians has doubled since the beginning of the year.

In total, according to the results of January - August 2020, 107.2 thousand such incidents were recorded, which is two times more than last year's figures.

An increase in the number of such crimes was identified in 35 subjects.
