Pernilla Jansson works at the nursing home Högsbotorpshemmet and became ill in covid-19 this summer.

Hear her talk about it in the clip above.

According to the latest figures from the city of Gothenburg, 36 users are now infected in the city's operations, which include elderly care.

They are spread throughout the city, but when it comes to nursing homes, the infection is found in five districts: Lundby, Majorna-Linné, Norra Hisingen, Västra Hisingen and Örgryte-Härlanda.

From three of the districts, Kommunal has received information that employees are once again moving between units, ie between different departments or between different residences.

- It's awful.

That you do not over-employ and that you do not look at this with employment in the long term.

Hourly employment should be a longer temporary position or a permanent employment, says Pernilla Jansson.

"Need to limit how many people work"

Babbs Edberg is the one who compiles figures on infections in the city's operations.

She is also the district director for the Centrum district.

- We follow the Swedish Public Health Agency's recommendations, and Infection Control and Care Hygiene guidelines, that is the basis.

And we need to limit how many people work.

But if you work a whole shift on one unit and the next day on another unit, there is not such a great risk of infection.

She believes that the risk of infection is greatest when an employee walks between different units during the same work shift.

- We should try to avoid that as much as possible.
