  The theme of the unveiling event is "the integration of the two sides of the strait to explore new roads, and the implementation in the countryside". It is co-led by the Guangdong Provincial Association for Cross-Strait Exchange and the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Shanwei Taiwan Affairs Bureau, Shanwei Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, and Lu He County People's Government and other units jointly undertake it.

More than 150 representatives of leaders and guests, including cross-strait agriculture-related enterprises, grassroots towns and villages, and counterpart assistance units that have participated in the construction of the pilot zone, gathered together to actively explore new ways for cross-strait rural integration and development.

  At the unveiling ceremony, all relevant partners in the pilot zone signed a cooperation project.

With the help of the targeted assistance platform for poverty alleviation, Lei Ming, the second-level inspector of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Shenzhen, and Zhuang Hongqin, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Shanwei City, signed an agreement on joint creation and sharing of the Shanwei Strait Rural Integration Development Pilot Zone.

  It is understood that since 2018, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government, in conjunction with the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, has taken the lead in promoting the creation of a cross-strait rural integrated development pilot zone nationwide, creating a new platform for cross-strait grassroots and non-governmental exchanges, and assisting the national rural revitalization strategy.

After a period of trial and exploration, in June last year and October this year, the pilot zone was unveiled in Qingyuan in northern Guangdong and Zhanjiang in western Guangdong.

  The experimental area for rural integration development on both sides of the Shanwei Strait is mainly selected as the "two parks and two villages", namely, Tainong Agricultural Ecological Science and Technology Park of Haifeng County, Plant Longlufeng Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Park, Baolou Village, Dongchong Town, Shicheng District, Shuipu Town, Luhe County Luodong Village, as the core area of ​​the experimental area.

And set up a research institute in Luodong Village and Baolou Village, led by the agricultural science and technology park, relying on the characteristic agricultural tourism cultural and creative villages, to develop the characteristic planting and processing of green plum, lychee, aquaculture, and rural cultural tourism, The food industry is an important part of the integration and development of rural areas on both sides of the strait. It has carried out exchanges, visits and landing cooperation with member companies of the Agricultural Committee of the Guangdong Cross-Strait Exchange Promotion Association and the Taiwan Youth Federation and other agricultural teams and professional farmers on the island.
