About 12 million students resumed classes Monday in France after two weeks of vacation.

This re-entry took place in the midst of the country's second reconfinement.

For high school students, the reinforced health protocol put in place in their establishments is insufficient.

Several high schools have even been blocked by students.

 I am really not satisfied.

In fact, the thing that changes is that we have the masks.

But after that there is nothing that changes

”.

Like this student in the second class, high school students do not feel sufficiently protected against Covid-19 at the Lycée François Villon in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

We are all stuck

 "

For them, the health protocol that is put in place in schools and which requires the wearing of a mask is not effective.

They say there is containment, but everyone is outside.

Everyone is there, it's not normal

!

I don't understand what we're doing here,

 ”the high school student continues.

One of her comrades adds: “

They say they're going to change things.

But frankly, nothing has changed

!

We are all stuck and the virus is still there.

They don't actually realize it.

 "

Macron, he should reconfine us because this is not good, what he is doing.

It's better that we are confined like that there will be no third wave,

”insists another.

For this high school student, the social distancing imposed by the reinforced protocol cannot be respected if all the students are present: “

They could go to school every other week or every other day.

Because in the canteen, everyone touches each other, that doesn't protect us at all.

We don't feel protected.

 "

Without being able to ensure social distancing, several establishments had to close their school canteens.

The teachers' unions are calling for a reduction in the number of pupils and the means to limit the mixing within the establishments.

For Dr. Djilalli Annane, head of the intensive care unit at Raymond Poincaré hospital in Garches, the protocol implemented in high schools is in any case not sufficient:

I wouldn't be surprised if the rules were tightened at the high school and college level.

One could imagine that the face-to-face is only maintained for high school and college students for whom distance is not possible ...
