The boss of the Communists Fabien Roussel demanded Tuesday "a strict, hard, firm confinement", in reverse of the requests for reopening of small businesses, while "there are still too many people working".

"My big concern is that within 10, 15 days, our hospitals will no longer be able to treat all the people who are now infected, the epidemic is swelling across the country" , warned the deputy of the North on LCP.

"The only answer is strict, hard, firm containment, it is the only way to protect our fellow citizens from this deadly virus," he said.

"This is not the path taken, we are procrastinating, hesitating on the measures to be taken," added the national secretary of the PCF, targeting the government.

While many voices in the oppositions have been raised to demand greater flexibility on small businesses asphyxiated by this re-containment, Fabien Roussel estimated that "there are still too many people who work, who take risks of catch this virus ".

"I am also thinking of large companies, automobile producers, equipment manufacturers ... At Toyota, for example, 3,000 people work. It is as many potential clusters as all these open companies", he explained.

During the first confinement in the spring, the Communist had already taken a position to better protect workers in certain factories which benefited from exemptions at the height of the epidemic.
