Gorelov said that "the increase in morbidity in different regions began at different times, therefore, its peak will be at different times."

“This is roughly mid-November, somewhere a little earlier, somewhere a little later,” Gorelov was quoted as saying by Interfax.

He noted that “it is difficult to make a more accurate forecast, since the development of the epidemic process is influenced by many factors - both climatic and social, one of the key is undoubtedly the commitment to the use of personal protective equipment, adherence to social distance”.

“We hope that at the peak the number of new cases will not exceed 20 thousand (per day),” Gorelov added.

According to the data of the headquarters as of November 3, 18,648 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia per day, for the entire time 1,673,686 patients with COVID-19 were registered in the country.
