03 November 2020Stopped and tortured in the countryside of Novellara and Correggio, in the province of Reggio Emilia.
It happened last night to a couple of Moroccans.
They were in the car when two scooters blocked them.
Five of them would get out and beat the man, a 43-year-old Moroccan, with a knife.
The 37-year-old woman was dragged out instead.
The 5 would have tried to rape her next to the car, then she was taken aboard one of the motorbikes to a house in Correggio where she was subjected to other tortures.
A neighbor who heard the woman's screams warned the Carabineri.
The military broke into the apartment and arrested 5 people - including a woman - all Moroccans.
The accusation involved aggravated personal injury, kidnapping, private violence and sexual assault.
The motive for the attack has yet to be understood.
The two victims were taken to hospital in Guastalla and then transferred to the Maggiore of Parma where they were hospitalized in serious condition, but not in danger of life.
One of the hypotheses the Carabinieri are working on is that the victims knew their attackers.
