The pilot of a small civilian plane was wanted last night following the crash of his aircraft at sea, in the Gulf of Napoule, in the town of Cannes.
"Shortly before 8 p.m., Cannes Mandelieu airport reports to CROSS Med (Regional Center for Surveillance and Rescue Operations in the Mediterranean Sea) the loss of radar contact with a TB10 type tourist plane (one person on board)", specifies the maritime prefecture of the Mediterranean.
The Dragon 06 helicopter of the Civil Security, the star of the SNSM of Cannes as well as the Argens boat of the maritime gendarmerie and the fire boats and of the Cannes airport took part in the searches coordinated by the Rescue Sub Center in the center maritime operations from Toulon.

In the take-off and landing test phase
The research, suspended shortly before midnight, resumed at dawn on Tuesday morning with the support of a Panther helicopter from the national navy and the star of the maritime gendarmerie, indicates the maritime prefecture in a press release.

In August 2015, a private plane had already crashed at sea in the same area.
