The first vice president of the Government, Carmen Calvo, called this Tuesday "very inappropriate" and "absolutely unfortunate" the comment of the director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies (CAES) of the Ministry of Health, Fernando Simón, about the nurses.
Calvo, in an interview on Canal Sur collected by Servimedia, encouraged Simón to offer explanations.
It is, he said, an "absolutely unfortunate" comment that continues to "delve into stereotypes that do not help anything" and, therefore, "very inappropriate".
The vice president separated the "professionalism" of Dr. Simón and the work he is doing in the fight against the pandemic from his comments in an online chat with climbers Iker and Eneko Pou, in which he referred to whether he liked the " infectious nurses ".
