Specific certification requirements and steps (please read the following carefully):
1. Restriction on the scope of applicants: Only Chinese citizens who live in the consular area of the Consulate General in Manchester for a long time can apply, and the applicant must be in the UK when making the appointment.

3. Please prepare the following application materials:

(2) All applicants must print out the pages of the "People's Republic of China Passport/Travel Permit Application Form" and "Applicant Declaration/Guardian's Opinion" completed on the appointment website, and handwritten signatures at the signature place.
(3) All applicants must fill in the "Application Form for Certificate Application by Mail".
Please fill it out on your computer, print it out and sign by hand.
(Note: Newborns fill in the "Application Form for Certificate by Mail" (Newborn)).
(4) All applicants (including those over 10 years old) shall sign the "Signature Collection Form" strictly as required.
Special reminder: The signature here will be scanned and made into the new passport. Please be sure to sign it by yourself, not on your behalf.
(5) All applicants (including applicants over 16 years old), please read the "Informed Consent Form Not to Collect Fingerprints" carefully.
If you agree, please print it out and sign it yourself.
Those who do not provide this consent or do not sign will be deemed to have given up the application and will be returned.
(6) All applicants should carefully read the "Declaration of Nationality Status". If your situation is consistent with the content of the declaration, please print it out and sign it yourself.

4. Prepare mailing envelopes, self-addressed envelopes and bank drafts:

Five, video meeting
(1) The following persons must meet on video:
1. Applicants under 16 years old;
2. Those who apply for reissuance due to loss or damage of passport/travel permit;
3. The Consulate General deems it necessary to meet people on video.
(2) The staff of the consulate general will contact the applicant by telephone and agree on the time and method of video meeting.
The video meeting of minors must be accompanied by a parent.

Six, matters needing attention
(1) The following circumstances will result in a return, and a new appointment must be made:
1. The name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, passport number and other basic information in the online application form are filled in incorrectly;
2. The address, contact information, family members and other information in the online application form are not filled in or filled in truthfully and accurately;
3. The materials are not prepared as required and the application materials are not complete;
4. There is cash in the mail, non-signature, no return envelope or return postage, etc.
