The assassination of Samuel Paty, the attack on Notre-Dame basilica in Nice: France is experiencing a new wave of attacks on its soil. Three in less than four weeks deciphers Laurent Nuñez, national coordinator of Intelligence and the Fight against Terrorism in Europe 1. To find such a level of alert, we have to go back to the summer of 2016, when four attacks had taken place in six weeks. The terrorist threat is at a very high level in the country now. "The one that concerns us is the endogenous threat, that which comes from individuals present on French territory," he explains.
