In addition, the region will, as before, publish status reports on covid-19 on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Stockholm Region writes in a press release.

"I am very concerned about the increased spread of infection and the increased number of patients with covid-19 who are in need of hospital care," says the region's director of health and medical care, Björn Eriksson, in a press release.

At present, 20 patients in the Stockholm Region are cared for in intensive care, while the number of patients in geriatrics and emergency hospitals who receive care is 183. A total of 203 patients are in need of hospital care due to covid-19 in the Stockholm Region.

Björn Eriksson also appeals to Stockholmers to - once again - be restrictive with social contacts and follow the advice that the Public Health Agency decided on last week.
