Apple on Monday announced a marketing event on November 10 during which the American giant, which has just launched its latest range of iPhone compatible with 5G, could unveil Mac computers equipped with new chips.
The presentation will be broadcast online from the group's California headquarters in Cupertino from 5:00 p.m. GMT.
According to several specialists, Apple should announce its new Mac models equipped with a brand new chip.
In June, during its annual conference for developers, the firm had indeed said that it would now manufacture its own chips for its range of computers in order to bring together the ecosystems of iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Mac models currently on the market are equipped with microprocessors produced by the American semiconductor group Intel.
In its quarterly results released last week, the company said Mac sales earned it just over $ 9 billion between July and September, up nearly 30% year-on-year.
Apple launched its iPhone 12 at the end of October, the first smartphone from the American group capable of connecting to 5G networks, which promise an ultra-fast connection speed to the Internet.
In September, the Californian giant presented new models of Apple Watch and iPad as well as a new subscription, called Apple One.
