Afghanistan: violent armed attack in Kabul University

Three armed men managed to enter the compound of Kabul University on Monday morning, November 2 during an Iranian book fair.

At least eight people were injured, a death toll that could increase.

Dozens of students and teachers fled at the first gunshots heard on campus.

The Taliban deny any involvement.

Some students fled.

It's chaos and the students are terrified.

 Ahmadi and several classmates were besieged for more than two hours before being evacuated.

The boys and girls were screaming, praying and calling for help.

I have no words to explain how we survived today's armed attack at our university.

last week

, at least 24 people, mostly students, were killed in a suicide attack against an education center in western Kabul, claimed by the Islamic State group.

In 2018, Kabul University had already suffered a suicide bombing claimed by ISIS.

He had killed dozens of people, mostly teenagers.

Two years earlier, the attack on the American University in Kabul had killed 16 people.
