Paris in cannes, Toulouse down: the Stade Français offered themselves a benchmark victory on Sunday (48-14) at the Jean-Bouin stadium behind closed doors against Stade Toulousain, decimated by absences and who abandoned the lead of the Top 14.

Finally !

After two defeats against Bayonne (19-26) and during the derby against Racing (25-27), Stade Français really started its season with good play and six tries in an accomplished match.

The Parisians extricate themselves from the lowlands and climb to 6th place by balancing their record (three wins, three losses, 14 pts).

Toulouse, which also remained on a home defeat against Lyon (7-16), is now 3rd and lets Clermont and La Rochelle slip away at the top of the standings after this 7th day.

For this Classic without supporters, the Stade Français presented a new jersey, white, striped with lightning ... Lightning also distilled in the game, from the 4th minute.

At the end of a great collective enterprise, it was Sefanaia Naivalu who ended up serving Julien Delbouis for the test on the right wing (4th, 7-0).

Three minutes later, the Toulouse residents still asleep were again picked on the same pattern, this time with Telesa Veainu fixing well to offer the test to Arthur Coville (7th, 14-0).

The third flash under the drizzle of the 16th arrondissement, in a different style, came from the pretty full-axis skimming kick from Joris Segonds, for Jonathan Danty at the finish, putting Paris on a cloud (14th, 21-0).

It must be said that Toulouse was greatly reduced, without all its internationals busy finishing the Six Nations Tournament (Antoine Dupont, Romain Ntamack, Julien Marchand, Cyril Baille, François Cros, Peato Mauvaka and Thomas Ramos) ... and all of his injured (Rory Arnold, Cheslin Kolbe, Yohann Huget, Maxime Médard, ...).

But at 21-0, the Toulouse seemed to wake up, upon dismissal, for a try from Matthis Lebel (15th, 21-7).

An exception only repeated at the end of the match to reduce the gap a little (80th + 3) ...

Because the locals quickly showered the Occitan hopes, coming on a key strike with force, a fourth time (again transformed by Segonds, 29th, 28-7).

At the break, everything was folded.

So in the second half, the Titis had fun with two new tries, signed Paul Gabrillagues (53rd) and William Percillier (71st).

A benchmark victory which inevitably gives a smile to the Argentinian coach Gonzalo Quesada, who remained on the "anger not to have finished the work" against Racing.

It remains to be confirmed against a full team.
