The lifeless body of a man recovered from the Loire in Nantes

Macabre discovery Saturday afternoon in the Loire in Nantes.

A body floating on the surface of the river was seen near the Trois-Continents bridge and the Wilson quay by the driver of a Navibus.

This warned the firefighters who sent their nautical resources to the site shortly before 4 p.m.

The lifeless body recovered was that of a man about 40 years old, firefighters from Loire-Atlantique report.

His identification is in progress.

A police investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the death.
