Sean Connery
, who died on Saturday at the age of 90, suffered from dementia and died "in peace", according to his wife, quoted by the tabloid

"At least he died in his sleep and it was quiet. I was with him the whole time and he just went off. It's what he wanted," said
Micheline Roquebrune
, a French painter whom the legendary 007 actor married secondly in 1975.
"He suffered from dementia and this had a really bad effect on him," he revealed.
"It was magnificent and we had a wonderful life together," Roquebrune also confessed.
"It will be very difficult to live without him, I know. But this could not last forever and he left in peace," he added.
Sean Connery died Saturday surrounded by his family in
Nassau
, in the Bahamas.
"He was not well for a while," his son

told the BBC.
The Scottish performer was the first actor to wear the James Bond suit, in
Agent 007 vs. Dr. No
in 1962.
During his five-decade career, Sean Connery won an Oscar, two Baftas and three Golden Globes.
His burial will be private, announced his family, which plans a commemorative ceremony when the Covid-19 pandemic passes.
