  At around 4 pm local time on the 31st, an attack occurred in front of a Greek Orthodox church in Lyon.

A man wearing a black jacket and a black hat shot and attacked the church clergyman who was locking the door, causing serious injuries to the abdomen.

After committing the crime, the suspect fled the scene.

That night, the police arrested a criminal suspect based on the description of witnesses, but the police did not find the gun that committed the crime, and the identity of the suspect is being confirmed.

  Regarding the attack that took place that day, Lyon Mayor Dusseau said in the evening that it was too early to characterize the attack because the motive of the crime was not yet known.

The local prosecutor's office in Lyon has launched an investigation into the case with a "murder attempt", but at the same time maintains close contact with the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office.

  According to a French media interview with a local priest that evening, the injured began to serve in the church around 2007, and there has been conflict with a believer since then and he has called the police.
