"This was not an election, it was a war," said Nika Melia, a majoritarian candidate from the opposition United National Movement party.

He stressed that the elections were totally rigged and called on citizens to come to the protest action.

The leader of the Labor Party, Shalva Natelashvili, noted that the authorities carried out a total falsification of the election results and the protest actions will continue until a repeat election is scheduled.

According to the CEC of Georgia, the ruling Georgian Dream party leads the vote with 54.72% of the vote, while the opposition Power in Unity bloc gains 23.61%.
