Almost a year after the incident, two veterinary experts concluded on Sunday that Elisa Pilarski, found dead in a forest in the Aisne in November 2019, had been killed by her companion's dog.

The latter's lawyer denounces hasty conclusions.

He asks for a second opinion.

In November 2019, Elisa Pilarski was found dead in a forest in the Aisne.

The 29-year-old was pregnant at the time and was walking with her dog, an American Staff, named Curtis and which belonged to her companion Christophe Ellul.

"It's no longer an expertise, it's an indictment!"

Two veterinary experts commissioned by justice concluded that the Curtis dog was the sole perpetrator of the bites that caused the death of Elisa Pilarski.

"It is still quite unusual to see an expert report come to an end so categorically. We had a real network of bites and there, we are given conclusions that say that it is Curtis's teeth that came into the skin of Elisa Pilarski. This is no longer an expertise, it is an indictment! "Responded Alexandre Novion, Christophe Ellul's lawyer, on Europe 1.

An "extremely dangerous" dog

A pack of hunting dogs was suspected, but was ultimately cleared.

"They noticed that the size of the jawbones of the hunting dogs did not correspond at all to the size of the bites to which Elisa Pilarski had succumbed. For me, there is no more Pilarski case, and there is maybe an Ellul affair ", replies Guillaume Desmarcq, the lawyer for hunters.

“The experts worked on his dog's behavior and found that the way this dog had been trained made him extremely dangerous,” he continued.

A second opinion will be requested by Christophe Ellul's lawyer.

The results of DNA analyzes of all dogs involved in the investigation are still awaited.
