On the evening of October 31, the Information Office of the Autonomous Region Government held the sixth press conference on the prevention and control of new crown pneumonia in Shufu County, Kashgar Prefecture.
At the press conference, Gu Yingsu, deputy director of the Health Commission of the Autonomous Region, informed that the Kashgar area began to conduct the second full-time nucleic acid test in Shufu County, Kashgar City, and Shule County on October 29, and conduct close contact personnel in other counties. The second nucleic acid test was performed.
As of 18:00 on October 31, the second round of nucleic acid tests for people above Kashgar area has been completed. Except for the confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections that have been announced, the test results of the rest are negative.
All newly-added asymptomatic infections are from Zhanmin Township and surrounding towns in Shufu County, and they are all under quarantine medical observation.
