• Direct Last minute coronavirus

  • Second wave. The CCAA are already studying the closure at home but Salvador Illa does not see it as "necessary"

Several communities have broken records of COVID infections at the beginning of the Todos los Santos bridge, in which almost

87% of Spaniards cannot leave their regions

due to perimeter confinements, a measure that has caused violent disturbances in some cities .

Dozens of people have appeared this Saturday at

El Espolón in Logroño

to support a call organized by social networks against the restriction measures imposed in the face of the evolution of the virus in our region that has ended in serious disturbances and with the presence and performance of various endowments of the National Police.

The call, which was organized in an extra-official way and did not have the permission of the Government Delegation, for 20.00 hours, began with shouts of

"Sánchez, Resignation",

among others, and in different agglomerations, the attendees they have started throwing flares and firecrackers.

As the call went by, the attendees have been surrounding the Espolón, without maintaining a safety distance, and during the concentration they

have broken banks, wastebaskets and even the panels of an exhibition

that was in the vicinity of the Espolón.

Several cars of the National Police have burst into Muro de la Mata street, and the agents have had to act to try to dissolve the concentration that, each time became more violent, since they have even thrown wood and stones at the agents.

The concentration, little by little, has been dissolving not without moments of great tension that have also caused several police charges, although the attendees have taken the opportunity to go to other parts of the city.

Deniers in VAsco Country

Up to 300 protesters opposed to the mandatory use of the mask and critical of the mobility restriction measures have participated in the rally and in the incidents that occurred in Vitoria.

The 'deniers' gathered at 5:15 p.m. in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca and then went through several streets of the city.

The incidents in this unreported concentration took place when protesters threw paint at an official building and threatened to confront the Ertzaintza.

The Basque Police charged at least twice against them to dissolve them.

police deployment in Santander

The national police, in collaboration with the local police, has deployed "a powerful device" in the center of Santander since this afternoon to prevent further disturbances such as those that occurred last night.

"We are in the best conditions to ensure citizen tranquility," said the Superior Chief of Police of Cantabria, Héctor Moreno, in statements to journalists.

According to Moreno, with this police device, which has been reinforced with riot control units from other communities, the aim is to convey the message that "there is firmness" and that "it is not admissible" for "these things to happen in Santander."

"Tonight the device is strong and the level of tolerance is going to be zero," he warned.

The Chief of Police has appealed to "the sector of young people" that has participated in the altercations, which occurred after a rally against restrictions due to the pandemic, and has asked them to "think about it" because the detainees last night, he stressed, they will be attributed a crime of public disorder that has "serious consequences, not only current and future."

According to Moreno, the rally last night was convened through an appeal on social networks "in a totally informal and apocryphal way."

That appeal was not promoted, he said, by any organization or association and neither have the police detected any ideological approach.

"The only approach has been to mess it up," he said.

He also pointed out that among the eight detainees there are some "involved in the organization" of the protest and that part of them are known to the police "for being habitual in" frequent "conflicts at night at the last minute", with a history of drug dealing or fighting.

Moreno has affirmed that the police gave a response "proportional and adequate and at the same time firm" to the disorders last night and in less than an hour they managed to bring the center of Santander "back to normal."

He thanked the citizens for their collaboration, who reported the movements of the participants in the altercations, and the expressions of interest from citizens and institutions for the four injured policemen, whose condition is not serious and who are recovering at home.

SCRAMBLES AND LOOTS

In Barcelona, the protests that took place last night resulted in fourteen detainees, two of them minors, and thirty people injured: 20 officers of the Mossos d'Esquadra, three urban guards and seven citizens.

Seven young people, including a minor, were also arrested in Valencia after participating in an unauthorized rally in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to protest against the measures taken by the Government to contain the spread of the virus, and assault five agents of the National Police .

The street revolt in Burgos resulted in two detainees, one of them a minor;

while in Gijón seven people were sanctioned for breaching the perimeter closure of the council and the curfew.

While the first night in which the restrictions are in force in Madrid resulted in the eviction of 105 private parties at homes by the Municipal Police, which has also intervened in 22 bottles and 16 open leisure venues last closing time.

THE CONTAGES, WITHOUT TRUE IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY

All these incidents took place the night before a day in which the virus continues without giving up in practically the entire country, such as in Catalonia, where 6,212 new cases have been registered and 16 more deaths in the last hours.

The potential growth rate or risk of regrowth in this community has reached 904, and although the speed of reproduction of the disease has decreased again (from 1.29 yesterday to 1.26 today) and patients admitted to hospitals They have been reduced to 2,411 (23 less than yesterday), those admitted to the ICU, on the other hand, have increased to 463 (16 more).

The Community of Madrid - which last July stopped releasing the figures for weekends and holidays, and which has been published today - has notified 2,441 new cases this Saturday, of which 1,258 correspond to the last 24 hours , and 31 deaths in Madrid hospitals, eleven less than the previous day.

This Saturday there are 2,237 admitted (103 less than on Friday), 480 in intensive care units (1 less) and there have been 315 hospital discharges.

Another community that shows very worrying data is Andalusia, which has broken a new record of infections, with 5,622 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours, and 54 deaths.

It is the third consecutive day with more than 5,000 infected in the community and the president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, has asked the Andalusians to keep "guard" after having passed "without notable incidents" the first day of the perimeter closure.

The coronavirus also continues to rise in the Empty Country, which has once again registered a new record of daily infections, with 1,502 diagnosed on Friday, while the rate of positives has risen to 8.9%.

Another new record has broken the Region of Murcia, registering 11 deaths and 903 new cases (109 more than the previous day), so the Ministry of Health has asked to limit social interaction as much as possible and has urged stay at home.

The pandemic has left a new negative mark in Castilla y León with 2,183 new cases confirmed by active infection tests (61 more than those registered the previous day) and 23 deaths.

The Valencian Community has recorded 1,431 new infections and 25 new outbreaks of social, occupational and educational origin, one of them in the "Ausias March" university residence in Valencia, with 72 cases, which has forced the Generalitat to order the confinement of the center.

Galicia, where the seven main cities are subject to mobility restrictions, has added 769 cases in the last hours, and currently has 474 people admitted to hospitals in the region, 69 of them in ICUs.

Aragon the infections have rebounded slightly compared to the previous day, with 1,269 new positives notified on Friday, and the deceased added another 4, up to 1,681 in total.

La Rioja also registers an increase of 70 active cases compared to yesterday, Friday, bringing the number of infections to 1,781.

The Canary Islands has notified 103 new cases this Saturday, while no deaths were registered, so the number of deaths remains at 283 since the beginning of the pandemic.

In addition, it is the only community where the pressure on hospital ICUs has dropped in the last fortnight, from 14.39% registered on October 15 to 10.61% on October 30, and also presents data much lower than the threshold of 25% that determines the extreme level of risk.

The other archipelago, the Balearic Islands, adds 218 new infections this Saturday and the number of active cases in the islands stands at 3,082, which is 25 more than the day before;

while in Cantabria there are 122 hospitalized and 250 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

In Navarra, the number of positives has registered a slight decrease although it still continues with very high levels of contagion, close to 600 cases.

Extremadura has reported 547 positive cases in the last 24 hours, only 25 less than the highest number of infections recorded in this second wave of the pandemic -this Thursday and Friday-, and four deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 732.

Asturias registered 400 new infections yesterday, Friday, 35 less than on Thursday, in a day in which 4,927 PCR tests were carried out, which yielded a positivity rate that continues to be above 8 percent.
