donated $ 100,000 to the church of a woman who thought she was shooting a documentary and instead was in a fake comic documentary.

Jeanise Jones

, 62, thought she was recruited from her place of worship, the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, in Oklahoma City to mentor a teenager named Tutar (Maria Bakalova), in the United States with her father by a developing nation.

But Jones only found out it was a fiction when the film was released on Amazon Prime.

Reverend Derrick Scobey said Cohen made the donation Wednesday.

Scobey added that he didn't know about the film either.

According to Reverend Cohen, he knew that church is a spiritual meeting place and help for the people.

A Cohen rep declined to comment when contacted by The Associated Press.
